Exercise of the Week: The One Hundred

 

The One hundred strengthens the abdominals, and stimulates circulation and deep, but controlled breathing.  The pumping action of the arms adds movement to the isometric activity of the abdominals.

 

The One Hundred requires a high degree of awareness, control, abdominal strength and an understanding of the Foundations of Movement.

 

Visualise the pumping of the arms as working in opposition to controlled and regular breathing and the control of the restof the body whch should not mve.

  • the spine should be imprinted for all but the most advanced of practitioners.
  • Keep the head aligned with the eye and the eyes focussed forward.
  • Keep the head and legs as still as possible whist the arms are pumping.

 

… don’t lose count!
