Push Ups
– #pilates4life2020: #31 of 31 exercises
What’s it good for?
🌟 This Bridging exercise is a good example of a “full body integration” exercise. It requires strength and coordination of the shoulder blades, glutes, hamstrings and calf muscles; the quadriceps, abdominals and well, just about everything it seems to me 🙂
A Quick Guide to Push Ups
💡 Imagine that your legs, trunk and head form a drawbridge that is lowered and raised with the arms pivoting ojnj the toes without altering the structural integrity of the structure.
When walking backwards, think of the pelvis lifting up like a drawbridge, keeping your abdominals scooped throughout. 💡 Pull down your sit bones to bring your pelvis into place.
💡 Having difficulty? Try Sternum Drops and Knees Off for a while first!
