Pre Pilates: Tail Wag

This will help improve spine health and decrease back pain. It will mobilise the hip joint as well as mobilising the spine.

When you practice the Pre Pilates Tail Wag, imagine that your foot is a dog’s tail as you move it from side to side. This will help to increase the flexibility of the hip joint as well as the mobility of the spine.

What’s it good for? ⁠

🌟 Increasing mobility & strength of the spine.

A quick “how to”…

🌟 From your natural alignment in all fours position, lift one foot off the floor.
🌟 Rotate the thigh so that your lower leg moves from side to side
🌟 Follow your foot with your eyes to take your spine into a side bend.

Hints & Tips:

🌟 Just like it says n the tin!  Imagine your lower leg is a tail – watch it as it moves from side to side.
